Kona Kay's Special Kona Coffee/Dark Roast
This Kona Coffee is hand picked on the slopes of the old Hualalai crater in the Kona region of the
Big Island. These are #1 beans. They are carefully roasted in small batches to better control the roasting
process. The grinding is carefully controlled for size to assure maximum flavor extraction during brewing.
16.0 oz $ 30.00
*** Another bit of trivia: When ripe, the coffee looks like red cherries. They do not ripen together at a certain
time, so the picking goes on for quite some time. Farmers make many trips to deliver their crop to the mill
where the pulp is removed from the 'cherries'. The hulls are then sun dried before they are cracked to
free the beans, which are then graded. Lots of hand labor here.
The 8.0 oz size Kona Coffee is sealed in a special pouch with a clear front. You can see what you get.
8.0 oz $ 18.00
This is sort of a teaser. Or use it as a small gift item in a gift box.
4.0 oz $ 9.00
Kona Kay's Special Kona Peabody Coffee
This is a very special bean, the top of the crop. Regular coffee beans are two inside the hull, flat
sides facing each other. But very occasionally there is only a single small round bean in its hull. That
is the Peabody bean. It delivers a more concentrated flavor when brewed. For the true connoiseur.
16.0 oz $ 45.00
